Sharper-Knives.com currently offers several products that users of high performance knives may find useful. Sharper-Knives offers a custom blend of pharmaceutical grade mineral oil and 100% natural Hawaiian beeswax which we call "Wa Wax." This 100% edible and food safe product is designed to preserve, protect and enhance your unfinished wooden knife handles, cutting boards and sayas.
We also offer custom made easily removable magnetic backed leather strops (pictured above*) which are sized to temporarily but securely mount on either the front or back side of DMT8 Diasharp diamond plates. The DMT plates (which must be purchased separately and are currently available from other vendors) provide an ultra flat base for our strops. These magnetic backed strops enable you to get added use and value from your substantial investment in DMT diamond sharpening plates. In fact, even after the plates eventually wear out, they still will make great bases for our magnetic backed leather strops, so don't throw those old worn out DMT plates away!
We offer an "oversized" board mounted leather strop (16 x 3-1/2 x 3/4 inches). Most strops you will see are 8 to 11 or 12 inches long. 16 inches makes a big difference in stropping efficiency, especially for long kitchen knives. But we can make strops to almost any size by special order.
We now have Rock Hard Felt DeBurring Pads available in various sizes and thicknesses.
